Sensation from the CIA: Putin recruited Trump with compliments

Former CIA Director Michael Morell said that Russian President Vladimir Putin recruited Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.

“Russian President Vladimir Putin was a successful intelligence officer, trained to find people's vulnerabilities and exploit them. This is exactly what he did earlier during the primaries. Putin exploited Trump's weaknesses by complimenting him. He reacted exactly as Putin expected,” Morell wrote on the pages of the NYT.

According to Morell, one of the proofs of the Republican billionaire’s political commitment is his recognition of the Russian President as a “great leader.” Morell also argues that Trump defends the interests not of Washington, but of Moscow, supporting, in particular, the Russian president on issues related to Crimea.

“In intelligence, we would say that Putin hired Trump as an unwitting agent of Russia,” Morell concluded, adding that he calls on Americans to support former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in the upcoming US elections.
