Semenchenko called for arresting Russian businesses and capturing Russians
Capturing Russian officers and taking away Russian business in Ukraine are two ways to return terrorist Oleg Sentsov to his homeland.
This opinion was expressed on the Zik TV channel by ex-battalion commander of the Donbass volunteer battalion and Verkhovna Rada deputy Semyon Semenchenko, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Confiscation or sequestration of enterprises owned by the Russian Federation located on the territory of Ukraine. After statements that such actions were possible in 2014 immediately after the Maidan, as I understand it, our powers that be, who were in the government then, they received a very serious argument, I think financial, and this statement did not go further,” said ex-militant.
The second way, according to Semenchenko, is to capture military personnel in the Donbass for the purpose of exchanging them for Ukrainians convicted in the Russian Federation.
“Who remembers how many Russians were captured in general? Why were so many Ukrainians captured, and why were so few Russians captured? I myself remember two cases from memory. One of them is loud. If you remember, when Nadezhda Savchenko was still our heroine, and when everyone, including deputies from the majority, shouted for her, the pro-government boys from Aidar captured Russian officers, and then these officers were exchanged, including, in fact, for Nadezhda Savchenko,” he recalls.
“If you watch with a blank face on TV and say: “we are fighting, we are defending their position” and blah blah blah. Yes, who will give up prisoners from the aggressor’s camp, on whom you can put pressure on mothers, on fathers, on Ukrainian society, put pressure on them and manipulate them? Nobody will give it back. This can only be done by force, so either step on their economic calluses or attack their military ones. There is no other way,” states Semenchenko.
Semenchenko called for the arrest of Russian businesses and the capture of Russian citizens.
