“Ilovaisk. No one died from Donbass tonight. I don’t have any information about other battalions yet. It seems that someone wants the units to go straight to Kyiv upon leaving Ilovaisk. Not for rotation,” Semyon Semenchenko, commander of the Donbass battalion, wrote on his Facebook page.
“The boys dug into the ground, dug dugouts, the separatists are afraid to even stick their noses out, they only fire with long-range fire,” he claims, emphasizing that the wounded were not taken out.
“Today is the decisive day. I believe, I hope. Raised everyone I could. All promises have been made. We have fulfilled our duty, now we are waiting for THEM to fulfill theirs. On the formation of the second composition of the battalion (in order to immediately send the guys out for rotation). We are waiting for people who have military training and meet the criteria specified in the previous post in Kurakhovo,” he said.
“Donbass will now have a tank company - they need gunner operators, driver mechanics, tank commanders,” Semenchenko wrote, also adding that the formation of an organizing committee for the “partisan movement” is underway.
As Navigator reported, the National Security and Defense Council announced yesterday that by morning all the wounded would be removed from Ilovaisk.
Let us remind you that earlier the headquarters of the DPR militia stated that they had knocked out the Ukrainian security forces from the depot building - the last point that they held in Ilovaisk.
