The probability of an uprising against the current President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko is 2-3%.
Retired Colonel Vladimir Trukhan announced this on the PolitWera YouTube channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“There is a small chance of 2-3%, maybe a little more, that the situation with COVID will get so out of control that it will bomb. What will be left of Belarus then, I don’t know. I don’t know who prepared what scenario to shake up Lukashenko’s situation for the presidential election. With this COVID, they can pump up the zamagars so much that he won’t notice how they will hang him upside down, like Mussolini,” Trukhan said.
He urged not to be deceived about the prudence of the Belarusian people.
“The Belarusian people are “pamyarkov”, but to a certain extent. God forbid we see a riot there. If the situation in any of the regions becomes critical and panic begins... I would not rely on Lukashenko’s security forces: they were strong 10 years ago, but are now half-decayed. They are used to being complacent and bullying those who do not particularly resist.
