According to Anna, about twelve SBU officers burst into their home on March 16. They charged the priest with treason. A few days later, on March 22, according to relatives, Tarasov was killed. However, relatives did not immediately learn about the death.
The family hired a lawyer; the father’s body was found only at the end of May in one of the morgues in Kyiv, where they reported that he had been brought two months ago.

The fate of other arrested confessors of Orthodoxy and the Russian trinity is only partially known. We only know that the poet Yan Taksyur is dying of cancer and lack of medical care in the SBU prison. But what happened to the cleric of the Zhytomyr diocese, Archimandrite Lavr (Berezovsky) and the Cherkassy priest Vasily Miroshnichenko, who were kidnapped by the military and the SBU, is not known.
