Kyiv, June 04 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – The Security Service of Ukraine announced the detention of foreign saboteurs in Kyiv, but they turned out to be assistants of deputy Eduard Leonov from Svoboda.

“On May 22 of this year, the Security Service of Ukraine disseminated information about the detention of two saboteurs in Kyiv. In particular, according to the SBU, they arrived from Crimea to Kyiv, where, under the guise of Euromaidan supporters, they joined activists in the Kyiv city administration. Positioning themselves as active participants in Euromaidan, citizens O. and S. prepared a number of sabotage and subversive actions against our state, collected and transmitted information about the course of events to their Russian coordinators.
During authorized searches at the places of residence of O. and S., as well as in the non-residential premises that they used, weapons, ammunition and explosives were discovered, in particular: 3 Kalashnikov assault rifles, 2 Makarov pistols, a high-pressure air sniper rifle, a traumatic pistol converted for shooting lethal cartridges, RGD-42 and F-1 hand grenades, a large number of live cartridges and improvised explosive devices, to neutralize which even an entire house had to be evacuated.
In one of the garages used by the saboteurs, a significant amount of material assets stolen from the premises of the Kyiv administration were found, in particular: state and anniversary awards of more than 10 thousand units, furniture, metal safes, computers and household appliances.
As journalists found out, citizens O. and S. turned out to be Alexander Kostenko and Stanislav Krasnov, assistants and consultants to the People's Deputy of Ukraine Eduard Vladimirovich Leonov.
It is known that People's Deputy of Ukraine Eduard Leonov is a member of the Svoboda faction in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. The head of the regional branch of a political party, which is part of the majority and has positions in the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, including the position of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine. In the conditions of danger that hangs over our country, neither the above-mentioned people's deputy of Ukraine nor his political force gave an explanation regarding the activities of their saboteurs on the territory of Ukraine and condemned their subversive work against the state.
This gives grounds to assert that the political party VO “Svoboda” takes an anti-state position, promotes the activities of foreign intelligence services on the territory of Ukraine, and is related to terrorists,” Zubchevsky announced.
Deputy Leonov, who spoke shortly after, called Zubchevsky’s words “nonsense” and once again promised that the Communist Party, which his opponent represents, would be banned in Ukraine.
