SBU reported on the trial of a DPR tanker in Mariupol
The Primorsky District Court of Mariupol sentenced to 8 years in prison a previously detained native of Donbass, whom the SBU accuses of participating in the war against Ukraine.
The department's press service reported this, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
The detainee was allegedly an unnamed tanker from the Diesel brigade, who had been fighting on the side of the DPR since 2016. He was detained while crossing the front line.
“During the pre-trial investigation, it was established that the detainee was part of a tank unit of militants, which was involved in shelling the positions of the Ukrainian military,” the report says.
The court found the detainee guilty under three articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine: part 2 p. 110 (encroachment on the territorial integrity of Ukraine), part 1 art. 258-3 (participation in a terrorist group or organization), part 2 of Art. 260 (participation in the activities of armed groups not provided for by law).
