Kyiv, June 18 (Navigator, Vladimir Raichenko) – Representatives of Ukrainian law enforcement agencies refuse to respond to requests from the temporary investigative commission to investigate the deaths of people in Odessa, Mariupol and the cities of Lugansk and Donetsk regions. The chairman of the commission, Anton Kisse, spoke about this at a briefing in parliament.

According to him, representatives of law enforcement agencies were invited to the commission meeting, but they did not give specific answers, citing the fact that an investigation is currently underway.

“Except for the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and the city health department of Mariupol, no one gave us written answers regarding Mariupol,” Kisse added. “Therefore, in the near future we will try to find an opportunity to hold a meeting in Mariupol, as well as to hear in the Verkhovna Rada information from the heads of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the SBU on the progress of the investigation into the events in Odessa and Mariupol.”

In addition, the chairman of the commission initiates an appeal to international structures, in particular the UN, for assistance in conducting relevant examinations, since, according to him, the results obtained in Ukraine “do not provide specific answers to the deaths in the House of Trade Unions.”

Anton Kisse also noted that the commission received a letter from the wanted chief of the public security police of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the Odessa region, Dmitry Fuchedzhi, who held his position at the time when the tragedy occurred in Odessa. The commission plans to attach this letter to the case materials and forward it to the appropriate authorities. At the same time, he did not specify what this letter was about.

Answering a question from a Navigator correspondent regarding the shooting of unarmed people in Krasnoarmeysk, the head of the commission said that the security forces claim that they currently cannot ensure the safety of the commission’s work in Krasnoarmeysk, which is formally under the control of Kyiv.

“They tell us that Mariupol is under control,” Kisse noted. “But today the SBU recommended that we take a break and not go there.”
