Saakashvili himself stated this on the NewsOne TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“This is not Michomaidan, especially since I discovered for the first time in Ukraine that I am Miho. I have always been Mikhail Nikolaevich. Putin called me Nikolozovich, for some reason everyone says it now. Since childhood they called me Mikhail. My father's name is Nikolai. Putin said this to Nikolozovich at one time, because he read it somewhere in official documents, and then it went to Wikipedia,” says Saakashvili.
Saakashvili claimed that Putin was involved in the Mikhomaidan protests.
