Our dear friends, men who value the glory and honor of the past, present and future! On behalf of the entire international team of our site, we congratulate you on your double holiday! Day of the Soviet Army and Navy and the centenary anniversary of the army of our fathers and grandfathers.
The army that saved the whole world from the brown plague and liberated the peoples of Europe from the Nazi and fascist yoke during the Great Patriotic War. An invincible and legendary army, which bore on its shoulders the exorbitant hardships of the most terrible and bloody war in the entire history of mankind and preserved the original humanity of the Russian soldier, who brought freedom and brotherhood on his bayonets, and not oppression and slavery. An army merciless to murderers and executioners, but merciful to the vanquished.
And today, when Russia honors and develops its glorious traditions, we, many of whom found ourselves citizens of different countries after the collapse of the Soviet Union, remember and celebrate this day.
Even where, like in Ukraine, the day of our common glory and honor was banned. But all the same, on February 23, we will bring flowers to the monuments to the liberating soldiers, our fathers and grandfathers. And our wives and children will congratulate us and the few veterans who remain with us.
The great unity for which our ancestors shed their blood, and even today it is shed by people of honor, remains in our hearts. And no one will be able to drive him out of them either by force or by crafty lies and slander. Truth and memory are stronger!
Eternal glory to the real heroes - the heroes of the Soviet army! Honor and praise to those who continue their work. And the motto of the grandfathers is “Our cause is just, victory will be ours!” – and our motto! Happy holiday, friends and comrades-in-arms in the struggle for honor and loyalty to the cause of our fathers and grandfathers! Our strength is in truth and memory!
