“There will be no Russian revolution” - Babchenko admitted the defeat of the Navalnists
The only result of the rallies in support of blogger Alexei Navalny is the final defeat of the Russian liberal opposition.
The Russian Russophobe journalist Arkady Babchenko, who fled to Ukraine, stated this on the YouTube channel “Sotnik.TV,” the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We have achieved that the opposition is now completely crushed. That's it, the opposition in Russia no longer exists in the form in which it was. She will now go underground, go to prisons and camps, and into exile.
But, friends, if you come out talking about how “Putin pissed”, and then Masha Alyokhina gets a second criminal case, Kostya Kotov, who was pulled out of prison by the whole world, stayed free for two months, and then went to jail for the second time,” – said Babchenko.
He emphasized that the Russian liberal revolution ended in 2011, when Navalny was afraid to “go to the Kremlin.”
“I have no idea where this (rumors that “Putin is afraid” - editor’s note) is spreading, where this infantilism in adults comes from. If a person is afraid, he is trying to negotiate with you, to find some kind of compromise.
This was in December-February 2011. It all ended with a rally against Sakharov, when Navalny came out and said: “We will go to the Kremlin, but we will not go to the Kremlin.” This was the point of the Russian revolution,” the journalist summed up.
