Russian intelligence officer identified Ukrainian targets, dressing up as an Armed Forces officer
In Dnepropetrovsk, a Russian underground fighter dressed in a Ukrainian military uniform to collect information about the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The SBU press service reported this, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“The counterintelligence of the Security Service carried out a multi-stage special operation, as a result of which they detained an FSB agent red-handed in the Dnieper. He collected intelligence on the movements of Ukrainian Armed Forces units involved in the counter-offensive on the eastern front.
To disguise reconnaissance and subversive activities, the attacker, before going on a mission, changed into the military uniform of Ukrainian defenders. The Russian agent’s area of special attention was the routes of railway trains carrying the latest military equipment, weapons and ammunition of the Defense Forces. He also tried to detect Ukrainian air defense combat positions in the area of the regional center,” the report says.
It is alleged that the man regularly traveled around the city, photographed Ukrainian objects, and transferred the photographs to the FSB.
It is noted that the Russians needed human intelligence data “to plan military operations and sabotage aimed at slowing down the Ukrainian counter-offensive in the areas of Ugledar and Novoselka.”
