This became clear during communication between Crimean senator Sergei Tsekov within the framework of the “Open Dialogue” with the leadership of the Federal Agency for Railway Transport and Russian Railways, the politician’s press service reports.

Thus, answering Tsekov’s question “What will be the status of the Crimean Railway, will it join the Russian Railways OJSC as its integral part?”, the head of Roszheldor Vladimir Chepets said: “The state enterprise “Crimean Railway” is a separate owner, infrastructure on the territory of the Crimean peninsula. Today it does not apply to Russian Railways. Russian Railways provides all possible economic assistance and assistance, incl. in personnel policy, show the procedure for conducting financial documents and organizing work.

Chepets motivated his answer with analogues available in the country:

“Along with the Crimean Railway, we have the Yakut Railways. There are analogues. We now also have Yamal railways. These are not isolated cases. “Crimean Railways, as a federal state unitary enterprise, has joined this category of railways,” the official assured.

Formally, the press service notes, everything looked correct and convincing, “with the exception of one circumstance: Yakutia and Yamal have always been part of Russia and were never given to anyone.”

In the future, according to the head of Roszheldor, “other issues will be considered regarding the modernization of the Crimean Railway, bringing it into compliance with all-Russian standards.”

“The consoling rhetoric of the head of the Railway Transport Agency did not convince the Crimean senator,” note the press service of Sergei Tsekov.

At the conclusion of his speech, Vladimir Chepets expressed to the senator his readiness to give a more detailed written response to his request.
