Russians consider the Northeast Military District a global conflict and are proud of their country
Citizens of the Russian Federation realize that the SVO is far from a local operation that is limited to Ukraine.
This was stated by the General Director of the All-Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VTsIOM) Valery Fedorov, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

Answering the question with what mood the citizens of the Russian Federation are approaching the upcoming elections, he noted that, on the one hand, hope for a better future dominates.
“Today our country is going through a difficult period, we really want it to end as soon as possible, and we hope so. On the other hand, there is a feeling of unity. Elections are united, ideally around the winner, around the candidate who best expresses the hopes, aspirations, and requests of the voter,” Fedorov said in an interview with Izvestia.
According to him, the third feeling that Russian voters experience is pride in their country and involvement in it.
“Everyone understands that the game is big. Everyone understands that it will be very difficult to win the global conflict in which Russia is involved, but this is absolutely necessary for the survival of our country, for the future of our children,” added the general director of VTsIOM.
They asked him how the SVO would affect the activity and mood of the voter.
“The topic of NWO today is considered important, but only as part of a global conflict. The confrontation is taking place in all spheres: technological, diplomatic, financial, ideological. Therefore, I would say this: the main imprint on the course and outcome of the 2024 elections will be left not by the Northern Military District in the narrow sense, but by the global conflict in which Russia is drawn,” Fedorov concluded.
