“Russia is the enemy, foreign countries will help us” - head of the Vakarchuk faction
Ukraine needs to influence the diplomacy of Western leaders, who can force Russian President Vladimir Putin to compromise.
The head of the “Voice” faction in the Verkhovna Rada, Kiev journalist Sergei Rakhmanin, said this on the air of “UA: First”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
“Russia is the enemy today, Putin is the person who is least interested in ending the hostilities and, especially, in the return of Ukrainian territories. Therefore, this is not about convincing Putin, it is about using all available levers to influence the diplomacy of Western leaders who can force Putin to take certain steps so that we win in this situation.
After all, we have three options: to conquer, which, unfortunately, is unrealistic today. This does not mean that a military solution is impossible, but it is impossible today. Option two: do nothing and slowly “merge”, as, unfortunately, is still happening today. And the third is to try to do something. We do not make enough use of the opportunities that we even have available,” said the Ukrainian politician.
“We will not have another Russia, we will not have another Putin, another Verkhovna Rada, another UN, another OSCE, another American or French president. But even in the conditions that exist, these opportunities can be used,” added Rakhmanin.
