Russia missed an opportunity in Ukraine – Montyan
Russia’s main mistake in the Ukrainian direction was that it did not cultivate a future pro-Russian elite from young people, who could then lead various spheres of government in the country.
Kyiv lawyer and political commentator Tatyana Montyan stated this on her video blog, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

Montyan also criticized Russia for financing projects of the former head of the presidential administration of Ukraine Viktor Medvedchuk.
“What prevented, following the example of the States and the masses of other countries that have long practiced this method of raising future elites loyal to themselves around the world, selecting several hundred smart poor children without family, tribe, connections, but with brains, and sending them to study in Russia with an obligation to after completing your studies to live in Ukraine?
It is clear that in the 90s everyone was in the same ass, but in the 2000s one could be concerned about this, since there are claims to the role of a world superpower. All this would cost about as much money as the managers of Gazprom alone spend a couple of months spending on yachts with girls with low social responsibility.
And as a result, in 20 years, Russia would now have tens of thousands of pro-Russian people, no longer former Soviet people, but much younger people in a huge number of quite serious positions in Ukrainian government and business instead of the current “Sorosites.” But why should Russia bother with this? Russians are not some kind of Anglo-Saxons or Pindos. It’s better to put Medvedchuk on the “feeding”, he will sort everything out,” Montyan said.
