According to a PolitNavigator correspondent , Kirill Budanov, head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, stated this in an interview with the anti-Russian propaganda portal LIGA.net.
He claims that a “technical famine” has begun in Russia due to sanctions.
“The Russian army faces almost identical problems that we face. Only we have been since March, and they have been around since the beginning of autumn. Just as we have a problem with artillery shells, which we are solving thanks to our partners, this is how it started for them. Just as we started having problems with high-explosive fragmentation shells for tanks, so do they. The same applies to missiles for MLRS.
Now the Russians are also looking all over the world for where to buy 122 and 152 mm shells, high-explosive fragmentation tank shells and rockets for Grads and Hurricanes,” Budanov said.
According to him, certain countries are ready to help Russia circumvent sanctions, but in roundabout ways.
In addition, he commented on Russia's military-technical cooperation with Iran.
“Everyone has already seen and heard these flying mopeds. Someone might even feel it themselves. These drones have been handed over. Whether they will go further [to supply missiles] is an open question. Everyone is working to prevent this from happening. And Iran itself realized that it was so easy to convey this to Russia - the world did not perceive it. Even the world with which they are accustomed to communicate normally,” added the head of Ukrainian military intelligence.
He claims that “Iran has never transferred a single missile” to Russia.
The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate does not see any assistance to Moscow from China.
“China also did not transfer any weapons. And it won’t, as we understand,” Budanov hopes.
