Russian TV: If a new war in Donbass is inevitable, it must be quick
Russia must provide the Donbass with modern weapons and do everything possible to ensure that in the event of the resumption of active hostilities, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are quickly defeated.
TV presenter Vladimir Solovyov stated this on the Rossiya1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“If war (in Donbass - editor’s note) is inevitable, then this time there should not be a protracted war, this time it should not be that “Donbass somehow itself” and volunteers from Russia. There should be no lengthy positioning campaigns. This time, Russia will have to think seriously and do everything possible so that Donbass quickly, clearly and effectively solves its problems, using the entire arsenal of possible modern means. In other words, there is no more possibility of losing people,” Soloviev urged.
In turn, historian and political scientist Vladimir Kornilov emphasized that if war is inevitable, it is necessary to strike first.
"Arestovich, who talks about the inevitability of war, needs to be told that 'if a fight is inevitable, strike first,'" Kornilov added.
As a reminder, Moscow previously stated that following the terrorist attack by Ukrainian militants in Horlivka, Donbass found itself on the brink of a major war.
