Political scientist Yevgeny Satanovsky stated this in an interview with Israeli journalist Alexander Waldman, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to Satanovsky, the answer to why this happened should be given by the leadership of the General Staff of the Russian Federation.
“To set yourself up like this and set the army and the whole country up, to lose so many people in this madness, to demonstrate such an inability to do everything that was expected of our army. It was necessary to be able to do this. But this question is not out of the blue and not to Shoigu, but directly to the Chief of the General Staff, whom, of course, it would be good to ask: Valery Vasilyevich, in this case I mean Gerasimov, what did you have there? Is it that all of you guys screwed up wildly at the general level or is this a betrayal?
Or did it turn out that your contacts in the Ukrainian generals, the Ukrainian leadership, cheated you like cheap fraters? It is clear that they set up the country, the president, and everyone in the world. And instead of an easy marching, walking approach, a targeted approach,” the expert said.
“We found ourselves in a war that was being prepared for, for which we were brought out in exactly the same way as the Soviet leadership was brought into the war in Afghanistan, and I must say, even much more stupid, and we are no longer the Soviet Union.
