Russian legal entities rushed to comply with US sanctions

The “subsidiaries” of foreign companies, which in fact are Russian legal entities, actively submit to foreign sanctions and refuse to work with Russian companies that are on the US sanctions list.

This was stated at the International Investment Forum in Sochi by the executive director of the Sovfracht company, which was included in this list on September 1 of this year, Nadezhda Reshetneva.

According to her, at the same time, Asian companies treat enterprises from the Russian Federation included in the sanctions list better than their “native” Russian ones.

For example, the Russian subsidiary of the postal company TNT refused to use the services of Sovfracht due to American sanctions. The same example was followed by an unnamed “large” transport company from the Russian Federation, whose shares are listed on the Moscow Exchange, an IBM dealer who refused post-warranty service for equipment, and a number of other enterprises.

“Over this month, we have come to the conclusion that Asian and Eastern companies are introducing much fewer restrictions on work. We will probably direct our focus of business interests towards Asian companies. The authorities must react harshly to those facts when, in fact, legislative initiatives of other states are being implemented on the territory of the Russian Federation,” Reshetneva said.

In response to this, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Alexei Meshkov promised to look into the current situation: “Send us a letter with your story. This is exactly what I was talking about - there are sanctions, and there is their application.”
