Russian Aerospace Forces are preparing to welcome uninvited American guests in the Black Sea
The planned passage of the American Donald Cook and Roosevelt, equipped with cruise missiles, into the Black Sea in the coming days is a threatening factor for Russia.
Military expert Vladimir Popov stated this, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Of course, they are a very important threatening factor for Russia. And in the near future, in order to counter this fleet on the coast in the Black Sea and Crimea, as well as in the airspace, we can expect even greater military activity by the sea and coastal forces of the Black Sea Fleet and Russian aviation,” the expert told Nezavisimaya Gazeta.
He recalled that at the beginning of 2021, the Donald Cook was already operating in the Black Sea, and on February 1, an incident occurred involving a Russian Su-24M front-line bomber, which flew near an American destroyer.
“I don’t rule out that our aircraft will again harass uninvited American guest ships,” says Popov. – And the Black Sea Fleet command organizes maneuvers of warships. In February 2021, the frigate Admiral Makarov, equipped with the Kalibr-NK guided missile system, went to sea and accompanied the American group of ships.”
