Russian liberals stunned Maidan supporters: they see nothing wrong with federalization and state status of the Russian language (VIDEO)
Kyiv, April 26 (Navigator, Vladimir Raichenko) – Moscow liberals who came to Kyiv to participate in the “Ukraine-Russia: Dialogue” congress did not fully meet the expectations of the host party. On the one hand, they sharply criticized the position of the official Kremlin in current relations with Ukraine, on the other, to solve internal Ukrainian problems they proposed things that were unacceptable neither to the new government nor to the Maidan.

“I think that the federalization of Ukraine is a completely normal thing,” said satirist Viktor Shenderovich in a conversation with a Navigator correspondent. – This is how Switzerland, Canada, and the States live quite successfully. I think it's quite possible."
Another Moscow liberal, international columnist for the Vremya Novostei newspaper Arkady Dubnov, believes that the Russian language in Ukraine should be legal to the level at which people using it feel comfortable. “What it will be called - state or official - is not so important,” added the congress participant.
