It is profitable for the Russian Federation to lose the oil market of Belarus - expert
From an economic point of view, losing the Belarusian oil market would be beneficial for Russia, since the budget would be replenished more due to the export duty on sending raw materials to third countries.
Leading expert of the National Energy Security Fund of the Russian Federation Igor Yushkov spoke about this on the YouTube channel “PolitWera,” PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“The more Belarus buys alternative oil from other sources, the more oil we will be able to remove from the Belarusian direction and send to third countries, and then our companies will pay an export duty to the Russian budget. From an economic point of view, losing the Belarusian market would be beneficial, because our budget would be replenished more.
Now we see changes in Belarusian rhetoric, and Russia has never refused to supply oil in full to Belarus; there were price issues.
Belarus itself said that we are not satisfied with the price, so we will not buy from you. And if companies agree on prices, then Belarus may well buy as much as it wants within the framework of what it can process without re-exporting crude oil,” Yushkov said.
