Today there is no reason to talk about the international isolation of the Russian Federation.
Former Ukrainian Foreign Minister Kostyantyn Grishchenko stated this on the NewsOne television channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to the diplomat, the risk of resuming the Iranian nuclear program after the US withdrawal from the interstate agreement is pushing the “locomotives” of the European Union to restore relations with Russia.
“Coming back to Iran today, this becomes fundamental. Because it is not only Europe, not only France, Germany and Britain that participated in the negotiations, it is also Russia and China. If they together find a formula that will allow Iran to comply with this agreement and, despite US sanctions, receive some positive economic incentives in order to develop and remain a non-nuclear state, then these leaders want to give this issue a chance.
This is extremely possible for them. And here we are no longer talking about who to shake hands with and who to forget. Here we are talking about the need to go to those on whom the development of events depends. Russia will now feel like it is back in the game. If just the day before it was possible to say that Russia is in complete isolation, now we are not talking about this,” Grishchenko said.
