Putin's calculation that disaster will befall Ukraine before the end of 2015
Kyiv, February 03 (PolitNavigator, Vladimir Raichenko) – The President of the Russian Federation can lend a helping hand to the next Ukrainian government that will replace the current one.
Moscow opposition political strategist Stanislav Belkovsky did not rule out such a development of events in an interview with the Kyiv weekly Focus.

In his opinion, the Russian president is not a strategist, but a tactician who does not have a plan for several years ahead.
“He simply proceeds from the fact that, as a strong and successful politician - this has been proven by the previous 15 years of his rule - he will cope with the situation and put pressure on the West. In addition, he expects that the catastrophe in Ukraine will happen before the end of this year, and this will give him completely new trump cards. Firstly, he will be able to lend a helping hand to the next Ukrainian government that replaces the current one, whatever it may be. Provided, of course, that the next government makes concessions to him on a number of key issues. Secondly, it will contribute to the split of the elites – the cultivation of contradictions between the main subjects of today’s Ukrainian government.”
