The Rada canceled the summer holidays. Ukrainian deputies will sit continuously
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine will not go on summer vacation.
This was announced by the chairman of the subcommittee on issues of the Regulations of the Verkhovna Rada, people's deputy from the Servant of the People Pavel Frolov.
When asked by Glavkom whether Verkhovna Rada will close for the summer holidays, Frolov replied: “It won’t. Since the beginning of the war, an open plenary session has been ongoing.”
According to established practice over 25 years, people's deputies went on summer vacation in July.
On February 24, the Verkhovna Rada voted to introduce martial law and switched to working on the principle of consensus - adopting critically important bills determined at the conciliation council while minimizing political discussions and discussions in the session hall.
The Verkhovna Rada extended martial law and general mobilization in Ukraine for 90 days – until August 23.
Meanwhile, on the sidelines of the Rada and in the expert community, possible reshuffles of ministers in the Ukrainian government are being discussed.
“There are more complaints about the economic bloc. There is still not even a hint that our economy should go on a war footing. We see absolutely no reaction from Cabinet representatives regarding absolutely obvious crises. The fuel crisis was obviously predictable, but there was no action. Therefore, now, first of all, we need to deal with those who deal with the economy,” says Kiev expert Alexander Kochetkov.
The expert added that one of the candidates for resignation is the head of the Ministry of Economy, Yulia Sviridenko.
“She is completely inadequate. And, according to my information, she even agrees. She even expressed the idea that she felt that she couldn’t cope, she agreed,” Kochetkov said.
