Putin found common ground in Ukraine and Moldova
Russian President Vladimir Putin drew a parallel between the situation in Moldova and Ukraine. He believes that in both countries power was seized by oligarchs.
Putin stated this in an interview with the interstate television and radio company Mir, which aired today.

“I think that Moldova is not a unique situation. But the most significant, because power in Moldova, as well as partly in Ukraine, was in the full and literal sense of the word usurped by oligarchic structures that crushed all state structures, absolutely everything: the law enforcement sphere, the parliament, and “anything,” noted the Russian President.
He expressed unequivocal support for Moldovan President Igor Dodon and the pro-European ACUM bloc as his current allies.
“What has now been done by President Dodon and his recent opponents in, so to speak, conditionally, pro-Western parties, is still a step towards building a full-fledged, civilized, modern state. We will, of course, support both President Dodon and his current coalition partners so that they get rid, in the end, of these, how to put it intelligently, in general, from those people who usurped until recently in Moldova power,” Putin said.
