Karasev's insight: All Ukrainian parties pursue foreign interests
Ukraine does not have political integrity and sovereignty, since all parties in this country pursue foreign interests.
Political scientist Vadim Karasev announced this on the NewsOne TV channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Parties in Ukraine do not act within the framework of national interests, but within the framework of competition between different foreign policy and domestic political national interests. Even at the level of discourse, the political space is not purely Ukrainian, national, because there are pro-Russian, pro-Western, pro-Soros parties and so on. This is evidence that there is no political integrity, there is only integrity within the territory recorded in the UN,” the expert noted.
The political scientist also emphasized that the Kiev establishment took the side of that part of society that sought to join NATO and the EU, but after thirty years of effort this task remained unattainable.
“And if there is no political integrity, then a seesaw begins, and each president strives to depoliticize politics in order to maintain a country that is in different political vectors. Whether against NATO or for it, the debate has been going on for 30 years.
After 1991, the country's goal was to join NATO and the EU; today this goal is, to put it mildly, unattainable. The fact that we included it in the Constitution - you know, paper will endure anything, especially our Constitution, which no one implements,” Karasev concluded.
