Let us recall that during a battle on the border in August 2016, an FSB officer and a paratrooper were killed. Immediately after Zakhtey’s arrest, Ukraine strongly denied its involvement in the raid, saying that Russian security forces had captured a civilian.
Moreover, Zakhtey, detained by the FSB, admitted that he received instructions from Ukrainian military intelligence . Yevgeny Panov, also an agent of the Ukrainian special services and planning acts of sabotage, was also detained in Crimea .
