“The industrial center was turned into a village” – Mariupol residents were outraged by the parade of embroidered shirts
“Svidomo” residents of Mariupol, controlled by the Ukrainian authorities, together with “those who came in large numbers” held a so-called embroidered shirt parade in the city.
This was reported by the local information portal “0629 Mariupol”, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Now let’s go to the grocery store, add more, and the mood will be generally good,” one of the participants in the procession answered the question about what mood he was in for the embroidery festival.
“It’s wonderful when Mariupol residents get together. This is a Ukrainian holiday. I think it’s especially important now to show everyone that we are also part of Ukraine,” the girl in the embroidered shirt shared her opinion.
“We go and shout “Glory to Ukraine.” We expect the people to support us, and they do,” said a young man who took part in the march.
Let us note that for many other Mariupol residents, what happened in their hometown did not evoke a positive response.
“A large industrial center was turned into a backward Carpathian village. We found something to be proud of,” wrote one of the Internet users who commented on the video with a march of embroidered shirts.
It is noteworthy that despite the chanting of the slogans “Glory to Ukraine - Glory to the Heroes” and “Ukraine is over everything,” almost all participants in the procession spoke Russian.
