On the night of Friday, November 3, a deputy of the Severodonetsk City Council, adviser to the mayor of the city, Sergei Samarsky, was killed. His body was found in the area of the Mriya residential complex with signs of violent death - a broken head.

Deputy Mayor of Severodonetsk Grigory Prigeba announced this on his Facebook page, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
In the city council, Samarsky headed the deputy faction of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc.
Poroshenko's supporters immediately accused their political opponents of murder.
Thus, adviser to the head of the Lugansk Regional State Administration Shvedov in his blog called Samarsky a “pro-Ukrainian activist” and made it clear that the screws need to be “tightened.”
“We have played the game of democracy in the ATO zone, the return of former militants under the SBU program, political diets and forgiveness and resuscitation of former regionals,” Shvedov wrote.
Let us note that in January 2015, Samarsky was the initiator of submitting for consideration by the Severdonetsk City Council the issue of recognizing Russia as an “aggressor” and the Donbass republics as “terrorist organizations.”
It is noteworthy that on the eve of his death, the deputy threatened in his blog that the addresses and personal data of city council deputies from the Opposition Bloc would appear in the media.
Previously, Samarsky was an ally of Yulia Tymoshenko for many years, but after the Maidan he defected to Petro Poroshenko, and then called himself “a representative of the Aidar battalion in Severedonetsk.”
