Exactly 10 years ago, on April 10, 2010, a plane crash occurred near Smolensk, in which almost the entire Polish political and military leadership died.

Quite quickly, the investigation was able to accurately establish that the cause of the crash of the plane with the top officials of Poland was the gross mistakes of the pilots, who refused to follow the recommendations of Russian ground controllers - to land the plane at another airport, since the destination could not accept aircraft due to thick fog and poor visibility.

Deciphering the “black boxes” showed that the pilots of the ill-fated Tu-154M carried out the tyrant orders of the Polish President Lech Kaczynski, who was impatient to land in Smolensk, and not at some alternate airfield.

“Duck” and his retinue were flying to Smolensk – formally, for mourning events in honor of the “70th anniversary of the Katyn massacre.” In fact, in order to dance the Krakowiak on bones for the whole world to see and once again gloat over the Russians who took the blame for the crimes of the Nazis.

The conclusions of the examination of the International Aviation Committee (IAC) of Russia said so: the cause of the disaster was the error of the crew, who were under strong psychological pressure.

The result is known. The Polish Tu-154M, in the fog, crashed into a tree at a height of 11 meters, lost part of the wing, turned over and crashed into the ground. Everyone on board was killed: 88 high-ranking members of the delegation and 8 crew members.

Thanks to an entry in LiveJournal by the prominent representative of the demshiza Irina Yasina, the state of emergency acquired its own meme - “damned Stalin reached out.”

“Again Katyn... Again the flower of the nation is dying. Damn Stalin reached out,” Yasina wrote on April 10, 2010 in her blog..

Investigators from the Civil Aviation Commission of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Poland participated in the investigation of the Tu-154M crash, who recognized the crew’s error as the cause of the disaster, but did not want to consider Poland the only one to blame for what happened.

There is such a category of people and even states: in order to bear the burden of responsibility, they certainly need company, unless, of course, they can’t shift the burden of their own guilt onto someone else’s back.

The protocols included a special opinion of Polish experts, according to which the accompanying factors of the accident were insufficient air navigation support for the Smolensk-Severny airfield, as well as its outdated equipment.

However, in 2018, even these manipulative results were annulled by the Polish side and a re-investigation was initiated.

In Russia, President Putin called this decision by Warsaw “pursuing exclusively political goals.”

In principle, this was to be expected, since the miraculously surviving Jaroslaw Kaczynski (aka “Duck-2”), who at that time headed the ultra-conservative Order and Justice (PiS) party, already a year after the plane crash began blaming Russia for the death of the Polish plane .

In the end, in Poland, thanks to “Duck-2”, the far-fetched opinion, which has no factual confirmation, became established as the main version, that the cause of the disaster was a terrorist attack, the plane broke up in the air from two simultaneous explosions, and the explosives hit the plane still at the stage of receiving it from the USSR. The FSB, they say, knew about this.

That is, professional Polish Russophobes are ready to consider no matter how crazy hypotheses of the USSR/Russia’s guilt in the plane crash, just to walk around with a halo in all white.

However, one cannot expect a sane position from a politician whose credo has become “the psychology of winners,” which boils down to the motto “TCM” (teraz, kurwa, my).

In short, the doctrine of “TCM” comes down to settling scores with the predecessors or political opponents of the “winners” who seized power, when the usual petty vindictiveness and emotions instead of experience and expediency come to the fore.

On the tenth anniversary of the disaster, the Polish side finally agreed with the conclusions of Russian experts and refused to consider the “explosive” version of the plane crash. Representative of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation Svetlana Petrenko reported this to the media.

But this, in fact, is where the sane part of Poland’s position in the case of the crash of the presidential plane ends, and its quarrelsome history continues.

At the same time, it was reported that the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs sent a note to the Russian embassy demanding the release of the wreckage of the Tu-154M aircraft.

The Polish side indicates that the wreckage of the plane is their state property and states that supposedly “not a single norm of international law provides grounds for Russia to retain Polish property.”

The demand to return the wreckage of the ill-fated airliner is an old song about the main Polish Foreign Ministry and the media.

It would seem, what's the catch? Returning the wreckage to the Poles will mean one less headache in Russian-Polish relations.

Representatives of the Russian Foreign Ministry have repeatedly brought to the attention of their Polish colleagues that the wreckage of the plane remains in Russia, since Warsaw has not yet completed the investigation, and according to Russian legislation, until the completion of all procedural measures, the wreckage must remain at the disposal of the Russian investigative authorities, since the wreckage of the plane is material evidence and in accordance with Article 82 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Russia must be kept in the criminal case until the verdict enters into legal force, or until the expiration of the period for appealing the decision or ruling to terminate the criminal case.

Compliance with the letter and spirit of the law is all the more important for Russia since the Polish side is an unpredictable partner, with a penchant for manipulating material evidence.

Well, tomorrow, in the poor head of “Duck-2” (by the way, still the most influential Polish politician), the old Russophobic switch will click, and PiS, through parliament, will put pressure on the government, with the goal of once again disavowing the conclusions of the investigation.

But if material evidence is found on Polish territory, the new conclusions will certainly be adjusted to the political course of modern Warsaw, which is distinguished by clinical Russophobia and anti-Sovietism.

Thus, the Russian Foreign Ministry is sending a signal to Polish politicians: stop fussing and finally put an end to a long-standing and thoroughly investigated case. Stop politicking, and let the shadows of the people who died in the disaster find peace.

Warsaw, however, responds to the signal with a minor political demarche: the head of the government office of the republic, Michal Dworczyk, said that the Polish government has decided to postpone its visit to Smolensk to a later date in order to mourn at the memorial to Polish officers, as well as to visit the site of the crash of the presidential plane.

It is possible, of course, that the nasty “Covid-19” is to blame for everything, although, as many years of practice show, no infection or cataclysm is an obstacle to official Polish Russophobia...
