Confession of Anton Gerashchenko: Ukrainian journalists are “soldiers of the information war”
In Ukraine, it is necessary to block sites with information that is objectionable to the government.

This opinion was voiced by People's Deputy from the Popular Front, adviser to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Anton Gerashchenko in an interview with the Korrespondent publication.
“Today, Ukraine is completely defenseless not only in the military, but also in the information sphere. For example, living in the Russian Federation, you will not be able to access the websites of many Ukrainian information portals, since they have a security system that does not allow Russians to watch stories about the atrocities of their militants in Ukraine. Our information space is free. And as soon as some politician declares that this should not continue to be the case, the public immediately becomes indignant: this is supposedly oppression of freedom of speech,” he noted.
According to Gerashchenko, Ukrainian journalists are “soldiers of the information war,” and therefore must correctly assess the degree of responsibility for their materials.
“We need to block those sites that conduct anti-Ukrainian propaganda and collect funding for the maintenance of Novorossiya militants. How can we evaluate the statements of Ukrainian journalists who say that there is no such country as Ukraine? Journalists must remember that they are soldiers in the information war and understand the depth of responsibility. Journalists from Russia who film propaganda stories, among other things, help kill soldiers and civilians,” the politician claims.
