The Maidan holiday was combined with the “Holodomor”

This year, the celebration of the coup d'état, called the “revolution of dignity” in Ukraine, will gradually turn into a memorial service for the “victims of the famine.”

The corresponding order was approved by the Kyiv City State Administration. Thus, celebrations will take place on the Maidan from November 17 to 24, and events will also take place on Sofiyskaya and Mikhailovskaya squares on November 21.

“On the occasion of the Day of Remembrance of Holodomor Victims, events will last from November 25 to 26 on Independence Square and st. Khreshchatyk,” the order says.

The decision of the Kyiv authorities to switch from holiday to mourning was commented on in her blog by human rights activist Tatyana Montyan: “The victory of the Maydauns was combined with the Holodomor. Stsuko, you can’t argue.”
