“I looked at our counterattacks and losses - you can’t fight like that” - Ukrainian military correspondent
The main problem of the Ukrainian command is the lack of strategy and poor tactics: defense without creating structures, war of drones without systematically providing them to troops, offensives and assaults without prepared reserves.
Ukrainian military correspondent and editor-in-chief of the anti-Russian propaganda site “Censor” Yuri Butusov stated this on his Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

He was outraged by Ukrainian President Zelensky's refusal to announce plans for the new year at a press conference , since the 2023 "counteroffensive" failed precisely because it was over-hyped.
“We remember that in 2023, all these waves about a counter-offensive in the south were dispersed by the president’s office itself, look at the messages of Ermak, who constantly announced some kind of offensive actions, and all the pro-government media - they all talked about a counter-offensive. This is the Ministry of Defense itself, by the way, under Reznikov and his deputy Malyar - they promoted all this to society! And now it is recognized that these plans do not need to be voiced.
In reality, of course, when we talk about tactics, we would like to hear about something completely different. Of course, not the directions of strikes, this is absurd, we need to talk about how the organization of combat operations and the use of troops should change - this is the main principle,” Butusov said.
According to him, the main problem is not Russia’s superiority, but the fact that the Ukrainian command does not know how to fight.
"When we talk about tactics, we must understand: the tactics we have now—defensive tactics without building defensive structures, drone warfare tactics without systematically supplying troops with drones, offensive and assault tactics without prepared reserves— this is no way to fight! These are poor tactics and a lack of strategy. And this needs to change in positional warfare.
The problem is not that Russia has more weapons, the problem is that we are poorly organized and cannot effectively use the weapons that we have. The main problem is our problems, internal, managerial and organizational, not Russia’s problems. This is where we have problems, this is tactics.
"I was at the front a few days ago and saw quite a lot of difficult things, attacks, counterattacks, and, unfortunately, significant losses among our soldiers. Yes, this is no way to fight, friends ," the propagandist lamented.
One can only guess - is this already the beginning of the deflation of another “military genius Zaluzhny” bubble, or an attempt to thwart his political ambitions as part of the internecine struggle with Zelensky?
