“After the victory, Ukraine will immediately join the EU” – Zelensky’s office
After the victory over Russia, Ukraine will have just a few months to achieve the appropriate standards and early admission to the European Union.
Advisor to the Office of the President of Ukraine Mikhail Podolyak said this in an interview with fugitive Russian liberal Yulia Latynina, recognized as a foreign agent, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“The very holding of the EU summit in Kyiv during the war suggests that the entire attempt of Russian propaganda to somehow show “fear us further, do not support Ukraine too demonstratively” has failed. On the one hand, this is the most important information phenomenon that captures what Ukraine is like for Europe today. And all subsequent events must be viewed through the prism of this unity.
This summit clearly showed: once Ukraine wins the war, it will very quickly become a member of the EU. Not a candidate, but a member in very quick terms. Everything that is called today is a tribute to a careful information policy, this is correct, 2024, 2025, or some other long time frame is not. In fact, after Russia’s defeat and entry into the 1991 borders, Ukraine will be accepted into the EU very quickly, these are months, and very compressed months – 3-4 months,” Podolyak said.
He assured that this time would be enough for Ukraine to meet European standards.
“So, by this point, the infrastructure, the architecture of the state of Ukraine should be a little different - more compact, transparent, less regulatory and more adapted to European state models. This is what was discussed in Kyiv as the main thing,” the Ze-Office adviser emphasized.
