After Kyiv’s scam, the LDPR refused to negotiate on Ukrainian terms
The Donbass republics are no longer going to carry out a partial exchange of prisoners, but will insist on the “all for all” formula.
“Moskovsky Komsomolets” writes about this in an article devoted to the fate of prisoners.
The publication recalls that the last mass exchange of prisoners occurred at the end of December 2017, when the DPR and LPR released 73 people, and Kyiv - 238 people.
It is noted that this exchange is “one of the largest scams on the Ukrainian side,” since until recently in Kyiv they claimed that 306 people would be released.

“It was only during the meeting at the “zero kilometer” that it became clear that Ukraine had not brought 68 people,” the newspaper recalls. – According to the official version, some of them have already served their sentences, while others did not want to move to the self-proclaimed republics. In practice, Kyiv seriously reduced the price on the “exchange market,” putting the DPR and LPR in a hopeless situation. Not to mention the fact that, according to the head of the DPR, Alexander Zakharchenko, 15 of the 238 people released by Ukraine turned out to be SBU agents.”
“Remembering that failure, representatives of Donetsk and Lugansk no longer want to negotiate with Kiev on partial exchanges. Now they need an “all for all” formula. As DPR Commissioner for Human Rights Daria Morozova stated on August 20, there will be no other proposals,” the publication reports.
Earlier, as PolitNavigator reported, Ukraine brazenly disrupted a major prisoner exchange during negotiations in Minsk.
In addition, the SBU sharply inflated the prices of prisoners of war and political prisoners for exchange.
