Poroshenko taken hostage
Hawks from the right-wing camp of Ukrainian politics are doing their best to create maximum inconvenience for President Petro Poroshenko.

Ruslan Bortnik, director of the Ukrainian Institute for Policy Analysis and Management, said this at a press conference in Kiev, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent, according to whom, diplomatic relations between the Russian Federation and Ukraine will be severed until 2019 and with a high degree of probability a visa regime will be introduced between countries.
“This is required by the electoral logic of the 2019 elections, when it will be necessary to introduce increasingly difficult humanitarian and political topics in order to maintain loyalty on the part of the right-wing radical electorate. Today this topic is being thrown around more according to political logic. I believe that in this way they are trying to crush and isolate the president,” the expert said.
According to him, the war party is constantly trying to create conflict and crisis situations for Poroshenko in his relations with right-wing radicals and international partners.
“In this way they are trying to increase the president’s dependence on the war party, to take him hostage. By the same logic, the crisis with the “public” blockade of Donbass was organized, absolutely crazy changes were made to the law on education in terms of language. The party makes a war, and the president of the country then takes the rap for it in the international political arena, tries to absorb these crises, extinguish them and do whatever he wants,” Bortnik noted.
