Poroshenko surpassed Yanukovych ten times
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has completely taken over the entire vertical of power, giving himself colossal powers.

Verkhovna Rada deputy Viktor Baloha stated this on the ZIK TV channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"The president has done everything Yanukovych wanted, to the tenth power. Without changing the Constitution, he has subjugated the entire vertical of power. Now [in the law on the 'deoccupation of Donbas' – author ] one of the provisions stipulates that he can declare a state of emergency through his commander, without a decision by the Verkhovna Rada. And this is clearly stated in the Constitution. In other words, he's writing something into every law that expands his powers... Ukrainians today can't rest assured of their safety. This is the most terrifying thing, the result of three years of work by a democratic government that came to power on the back of bloodshed, on the deaths of hundreds of people. In fact, they're behaving even worse today than that criminal Yanukovych regime," Baloha stated.
