Kyiv, October 29 (PolitNavigator, Maxim Karpenko) - President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko signed a decree “On events in connection with the Day of Remembrance of Holodomor Victims.” It was published on the official website of the head of state.

According to the text of the document, on the Day of Remembrance of Holodomor Victims, which is celebrated in Ukraine on November 22, scientific mourning events, exhibitions, presentations, etc. will be held in Kyiv. The Cabinet of Ministers was also instructed to take measures to complete the construction of a monument to the victims of the Holodomor of 1932-1933 in Washington (USA), and a minute of silence will be held throughout the country at 16.00.
“On the territory of Ukraine, on November 22, 2014, lower the National Flag of Ukraine, limit the holding of entertainment events, and make appropriate changes to radio and television programs,” the document says.
