Poroshenko after 2 hours face to face with Putin: “It was very difficult and difficult”

Judging by reports from Poroshenko’s press service, the Ukrainian side urged Putin to close the border through which reinforcements are coming to the DPR, as well as to release prisoners, the most famous among whom are Ukrainian soldier Nadezhda Savchenko and director Oleg Sentsov, arrested in Crimea.
There is no final decision on the border - the parties only agreed that now the chiefs of the border services and general staff will conduct negotiations.
In addition, on September 6, negotiations on the fate of the gas contract will be resumed.
From Vladimir Putin’s answers, it is clear that Moscow still takes the position that the war in Donbass is an internal Ukrainian conflict, and not an invasion of the Russian Federation, as official Kyiv represents.
“I think this meeting in this format was useful. I really don’t know how this will all end. In any case, we had the opportunity to once again formulate our concerns... We did not speak in detail, and we - Russia - and cannot speak in detail about the conditions of the ceasefire, about any agreements between Kiev, Donetsk and Lugansk - this is not our business , this is a matter for Ukraine itself. We can only contribute to create an environment of trust for a possible – and, in my opinion, extremely necessary – negotiation process. We talked about this,” Putin said.
