Poroshenko is more concerned about his own political capitalization than the fate of a complex region, whose residents are in difficult life circumstances, and the appointment of Georgy Tuka, who regularly defecates intellectually on the social network, is a clear example of this.

This was written on the website of the sociological group Sociolab Group by its director, Igor Akimov, commenting on the first steps of the recently appointed Luhansk governor, Georgiy Tuka.
“As soon as sociologists started talking about the fact that trust in volunteers had become greater than in the church, the President of Ukraine conducted another unsuccessful personnel experiment with the appointment of the inexperienced Tuka to the post of governor. This gave him some electoral preferences among residents of the western regions, but it cannot be said that it had a positive impact on the life of the “experimental” region,” writes the sociologist.
According to Igor Akimov, most of the statements of the newly-minted manager are aimed at maintaining an artificially created image of inferiority in the mentality of local residents in front of residents of the western regions who are susceptible to myths created by the media.
“Tuka’s statements indicate that he is incompetent and is just another failed personnel experiment. A misunderstanding that only provokes discontent among electoral groups due to comparisons of the population with inferior biomass. Lacking his own ideas, Tuka echoes the position of Kyiv, actively positioning himself as a fighter against smuggling, although this matter is far from being on the list of priorities in the region. Adherents of the Euromaidan ideology among the local population have always been no more than 15%, which indicates the practical impossibility of building social relations according to the Kyiv model on the basis of a small electoral group,” the sociologist concludes.
