Poroshenko will start trading in churches
Petro Poroshenko took up church affairs for the sake of the opportunity to trade church positions.
Political scientist Viktor Nebozhenko expressed this assumption at a press conference in Kiev, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Of course, it would be great if we had our own Ukrainian Church. But this is a slow, evolutionary process. And since the president-oligarch, who had accumulated a billion dollars and suddenly began to experience some kind of moral and religious upheaval, took up this matter, he prays. And this is the decision about autocephaly.
As a sociologist who has worked in all sociological companies, I will say that working with believers is extremely difficult. Therefore, I do not believe that before the start of the presidential campaign the president can expect to improve the results with autocephaly. Rather, something else comes to mind - the successful sale of church places.
