Poroshenko issued a decree on preparations for war
Kyiv, November 05 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – Petro Poroshenko enacted a Security Council decision on a set of measures to strengthen the defense capability of the Ukrainian state.

The Cabinet of Ministers, in particular, was instructed to immediately review the procedure for recruiting the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations formed in accordance with the laws of Ukraine with personnel formed on a voluntary basis, providing, in particular, for the conclusion of short-term contracts for military service.
The government should also take measures to restore basic military training in general education institutions.
The Cabinet of Ministers was also instructed to work within a month on the issue of forming an optimal model for ensuring the security of Ukraine, in particular, concluding a multilateral international treaty or bilateral international treaties between Ukraine and other states on providing Ukraine with effective security guarantees to protect its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
In the field of financial support for the security and defense sector, the Government, in particular, was instructed to urgently finalize the draft State Budget of Ukraine for 2015, providing for the priority of financing defense programs. In particular, it is planned to finance national defense needs at a level of at least 3% of GDP per year.
The government has also been instructed to work on the issue of expanding the production of military goods to modernize the defense-industrial complex.
