The representative of the President of Ukraine in the Verkhovna Rada, Irina Lutsenko, gave a fantastic list of “victories” of the Ukrainian army over the past four years.
At the same time, she refuted her boss's claims about the strongest army in Europe, stating that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are only in the top ten. She also listed American-transferred Javelin anti-tank missile systems and decommissioned ships among her victories, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to the politician, in addition, President Poroshenko returned to Ukraine all military industry specialists who worked abroad.
“Today, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are among the TOP 10 strongest armies in Europe. 8th place, according to international rankings. At the same time, in the latest ranking of the strongest armies in Europe, compiled by Business Insider, the Ukrainian army took 10th place.
It is noteworthy that recently the chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security and Defense, Sergei Pashinsky, stated that Ukraine is incapable of producing modern weapons.
"We talk about some of our potential. Dear friends, we've demonstrated it. It's the Dozor armored vehicle and the Molot mortar," Pashinsky noted. "These are two weapons we've created. Do they meet global standards? That's a philosophical question. But when we say we'll build airplanes, aircraft carriers... Yes, we'll launch rockets into space. All the industries are destroyed, the potential is zero, there's no money. So let's not immerse ourselves in some kind of bath," Pashinsky declared.
Just recently, the former head of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), Colonel General Igor Smeshko, admitted that the Russian army is capable of inflicting irreparable damage on Ukraine's military forces without even crossing the border.
