According to him, the initiator of the campaign against the army may be the government itself - the active phase of the war in Donbass may be over, so the Ukrainian authorities are no longer interested in glorifying the army and its popularity.
“A lot of very smelly crap will come up against government troops in the ATO zone. We will hear about protecting the double bass, and about looting, and about the sale of weapons and ammunition “outside,” and about much, much more. This is completely natural: once the war ends, the army is no longer needed, the heroic myth created around it begins to pose a potential threat to political elites who are not at all interested in the emergence of competitors. Therefore, the army will need to be discredited back,” Tkachev said.
