“It’s time to move on to unpopular decisions”: In Ukraine they demand to start mobilizing 20-year-olds
The law signed by the President of Ukraine to lower the mobilization age from 27 to 25 years will not play a big role.
A PolitNavigator correspondent reports that Taras Chmut, a former participant in the punitive operation against the LPR and DPR, stated this in an interview with the anti-Russian propaganda site Ukrayinska Pravda, answering a question about the current situation on the front.
" I'm about to say something terrible, after which this interview will change everything. But, in my opinion, mobilization should begin as early as age 20."

Right now we are ineffective. An ineffective country will never defeat a totalitarian, authoritarian rigid vertical of force and coercion, which also has 150 million people and huge funds,” Chmut said.
According to him, the new mobilization age will not help Ukraine find internal reserves to “ at least bring its units up to 80% ” and “ conduct a normal rotation for those who are fighting, at least at the brigade level, by withdrawing them to the rear for several months .”
"Let's go back to the beginning again. 25 years—okay, but it's too late. We need to make unpopular decisions, or we'll face even bigger problems in the future ," the expert warned.
