Poltorak scares Lithuanians: Russia is amassing troops on the border with Ukraine
The Russian Federation has allegedly increased its presence near the borders with Ukraine, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Ukrainian Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak stated this at a meeting with Lithuanian journalists, the press service of the Ministry of Defense reports.

In particular, Poltorak told Lithuanian journalists about the situation in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions.
“The situation on the contact line is difficult, but we control it. Russia, in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions, is conducting combat tests of the latest weapons and military equipment and is coordinating its military units. This is a testing ground for her,” he said.
According to Poltorak, recently the Russian Federation has increased its presence near the borders with Ukraine, and is further building up its military force in Crimea.
“We assess that the main goal of these actions is the ability to quickly and without lengthy preparation carry out aggression against Ukraine,” the minister said.
He also stated that Ukraine insists on deploying a UN mission throughout the uncontrolled territory of Donbass.
