Half a billion Chinese responded to Vucic's appeal to Xi Jinping
The Serbian President's request for help in the fight against coronavirus to the President of the People's Republic of China caused an unprecedented response on Chinese social networks. At the same time, the first batch of Chinese aid has already arrived in Belgrade.

Serbian correspondent of the Chinese television channel CCTV Ing Chang published on the Chinese social network Veibo two videos she edited with subtitles in her native language, dedicated to the appeal of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic to Chinese President Xi Jinping for help in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.
The first video was watched by 330 million and commented on by 72 thousand users, the second by 130 million and commented on by 26 thousand users. The general tone of the messages sounded like: “Let's help our Serbian brothers!”
At the same time, the appeal of the Serbian president found an immediate response and a day later the first batch of Chinese aid - detectors for detecting coronavirus - arrived at Belgrade airport. These pandemic-tested tests were donated by the Mammoth Foundation, a Chinese charity based in Shenzhen, and delivered in coordination between the Chinese Embassy and the Serbian government.
“Thank you to our Chinese brothers and President Xi, brother and friend of Serbia,” Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic commented on the delivery from China on his Instagram, where he subsequently published a photo of his handshake with Xi Jinping, signing it with the phrase: “We believe in friend and brother Xi Jinping and Chinese support.
