Political expert Oleg Mazur: “The Rodina party can become Smolny’s ally in working for the benefit of St. Petersburg”
The political scientist expressed his point of view regarding the reasons for Beglov’s support of Rodina candidates.
The rapid growth of popularity of the Rodina party among St. Petersburg residents is attracting more and more attention and intrigue. How does a “small” party gain a good rating in a short period of time? On this score, political scientists have their own version of support at the top. The chairman of the executive committee of the Cultural Capital Organization and an expert in politics, Oleg Mazur, shared his position.
In his opinion, the party was supported by the city governor Alexander Beglov. According to the expert, Rodina candidates take an active position, and they are known among the people. Shugaley, Bulanova, Petrov - these names are constantly heard now.
"This party is very beneficial for the governor. They are patriots, they are pro-government. Therefore, I can confidently say that Alexander Beglov supports them – he needs people like that in parliament. Let me repeat: Rodina is a party of patriots that will help renew the city's legislative assembly and become an ally of Smolny in working for the good of St. Petersburg," Oleg Mazur wrote on his VKontakte page.
The expert added that proactive and active associates in solving the city’s problems are valuable to the governor, and Beglov would want to see such deputies in the Legislative Assembly.
